Sandwich César / Caesar Sandwich

Sabor: 5/5
Ingredientes: Accesibles. Excepto si eres de Venezuela y no encuentras pollo... (tu tum pss :( )

Taste: 5/5
Ingredients: Accessible. Except if you're from Venezuela and you can't find chicken... (tu tum pss :( )

As you can see, I enjoy making things that are considered conventional meals, transform them, and make the same flavors show another way. Here I made a sandwich that is basically the caesar salad made differently, with the same ingredients. A Caesar Sandwich!
It was really good, and it was super easy to make, because it doesn't take lots of ingredients.

Obviously it has more bread than lettuce, which makes the basic caesar salad win in terms of "healthyness". But my intention this time wasn't to make the healthiest thing on earth, and I consider this could be more practical to carry if you've got to eat outside. And-and-and you can still taste the yummy, classic caesar salad flavor :).

I came up with this idea randomly a long time ago, and I never thought I'd do it because I thought it was silly. And here it is :O. Full of yummyness.

2 -Sí, debajo de toda esa lechuga hay pollo- / -Yes, under all that lettuce there is chicken-

Ingredientes ♥. Para 1 persona.
  • Pan.

  • Pimienta.
  • Sal.
 Ingredients ♥. Serves 1.
  • Bread. I used submarine style bread, but you can use whichever you want, like traditional sandwich bread.
  • Lettuce (about 3 big leaves)
  • Chicken.
  • Parmesan Cheese.
 Optional:
  • Bacon. These red thingies in the sandwich are a bacon topping we have in the house, yep.
  For the dressing:
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoon mayo.
  • 1 teaspoon mustard.
  • 1 garlic clove, mashed.
  • Pepper.
  • Salt.

 Procedimiento.

Bueno, está muy sencillo realmente. Cooking for dummies ♥.

 Procedure.

Well, it's very simple really. Cooking for dummies ♥.
  •  Chop and wash the lettuce. Then, dry it well with paper towels, so the water excess doesn't remain in the sandwich.
  • Prepare the chicken. To prepare the chicken I used the condiment Lemon & Pepper and salt, and I prepared it in a very hot pan.
  • When the chicken is ready, put it with the dressing on the bread, and in a pan toast it for a little while, turning it once so it gets toasted on both sides.
  • Once the bread gets toasted, take it out of the pan and add the lettuce and the parmesan cheese, and if you wish, the bacon.
For the dressing:
  • Mash the garlic clove and mix it with the other ingredients.

The end.

Hope you liked it, this is just to open a little bit your mind when you have no idea of what to cook :).
I have lots of things I want to post, so keep in touch.

Muac,
Andrea.
